Join the Queen Victoria Women’s Centre (QVWC) for a weekend of inspiring and interactive events as part of Open House Melbourne. Step inside one of Melbourne’s most iconic heritage buildings and immerse yourself in hidden stories of resilience, creativity, and community.


Weaving Workshop, led by First Nations artist Trina Dalton-Oogjes, a Wadawurrung women and member of the Ngardang Girri Kalat Mimini (NGKM) collective responsible for the unmissable Creative Resilience sculpture that stands so proudly in the forecourt of the Queen Victoria Women’s Centre on Lonsdale Street. Learn about the timeless craft of fibre weaving from a weaving expert in a relaxing and welcoming space, perfect for yarning, storytelling, and cultural exploration.
